Why does everybody hate the idea of multiplayer in TS5?

the main reason is that online killed the simscity franchise and most players are hardcore players and played since the sims 1and as a player when i play my sims game its to escape rl and have fun and would not went other players in my game showing up, to be honest i prefer the the sims game to remain an offline game
