Why don't my sims look at each other when they interact?

I just started playing Sims 4 again. I like to take pictures, and this one behavior is beyond annoying. I send two sims on a date or an outing or just speaking to each other at a venue. They stand sid...

I hear you, OP. I have the same issue. Taking pictures in TS4 is an exercise in frustration. Not only do Sims face away from each other, they also go out of their way to stand the equivalent of ten feet away from each other to do it.

I'll have Sims stand close together to have an intimate, private conversation. Invariably, one of them breaks off and walks a few paces away in order to continue the conversation. Did the other Sim have halitosis or what?

Grrrr....
