Does he have a trait you don't know about?
If he's a loner, for example, would cause him to get tense or stressed just by being with other kids he don't know extremely well.
Nah, he's just a bookworm. And he knows Olivia well! They're friends and hang out every day. He's always calling her up to play hooky.

He's a bookworm and a whiz kid so try doing something with him like playing chess. Not sure if it will work, I don't pay much attention to kids not in my sims family so just guessing here.
Hm, that's an interesting theory! I'll try it out today!

The kid does have disappearing parents. I'd have been pretty tense too!
Not to mention how his bedroom is in a tower isolated from the rest of the family....Come on, Mr. and Mrs. Goth, what is he, Rapunzel?

Hm,my sims kid played with him in playground never once he got intnesed so not sure sometime gotta watch though the kids do go threw phase maybe alex having off day. or ask your kid sims why he stress out maybe get answer.
Yeah, I thought it might be a phase for a bit but it's lasting longer than phases usually do.
For a while, Olivia was able to inquire into his moods. She'd increase empathy and the two would be happy afterwards. That's not an option anymore though...for whatever reason...

He's either in phase or game set him to be tense around your daughter.
Admittedly, Olivia is a pre-made sim (daughter of Alice Spencer-Kim, whom I remarried to my own sim) so it's not far-off for her to have history with Alexander. But they were strangers when they met.
