Why is sims 4 save files one one drive? Now all my saves are deleted :(

So long story short, my one drive has been alomst full and I've been trying to fix this for days. Got some help and deleted the documents folder and now all my sim saves are gone. I would have thought...

I got the sims to work on this computer with a recent install. Awhile ago I uninstalled one drive and when I got the sims 4 to work guess where the game put the saves. On one drive online so I had to download one drive and install it so I could tell it to store the saves in my computer. Which got my save deleted. Now I'm in panic mode uploading my sim to the galley when her skills increase because I lost my save with her skills at level 10.
