Why is the snow so flat? :(

The snow looks fine to me but then I live in the UK so we never have deep snow anyway.

Would like to see a Guru confirm it if that's just how it is or if there's different levels of depths for the snow. I definitely saw the starting imprint of the snow angel in the snow. Keeping seeing people not seeing it but it's definitely there.

Definitely not a deal breaker for me because I'm still buying it, but would like to know if there will be more snow depth with gradual snow build up or what.

From these pictures I took from the trailer, it kinda looks like there's accumulation? It's hard to tell though

Sims 4? Designed a whole lot more like TS2. Sims 2 has gradual snow build up, hopefully they'll do the same.

I like TS2 and I don't think the snow is fine. Hopefully the snow level rises with time.

Nope, I haven't even played Sims 3 seasons - I want at least as good snow as in Sims 2, which I don't see in the trailer. If it does have depth, we haven't seen it yet, and why wouldn't they show that in the trailer? Doesn't make sense.

I actually have been playing Sims 2 recently, and the snow there looks good for an EP that was released 11 years ago :) Sims 3 was no slouch either.

I think one thing Sims 2 was missing was weather effects shown through windows. If the game camera was indoors, the windows showed nothing. Sims 3 was better because the windows showed frost and precipitation when looked at from inside. Sims 3 Seasons is pretty much superior when it comes to weather, really.

The snow in the trailer simply looks like white colored terrain with some shading to give fake texture and depth... but then 4 has always lacked texture and depth

I hope there is accumulation but I'm not holding my breath. I'm just glad we won't have to paint the terrain during winterl

Pretty sure the snow won't get any deeper than we've seen in the trailer/pics. If they consider the flat snow deep enough to build snowmen as seen in the trailer, why would it get any deeper than that?

I'm disappointed that after going to the effort of giving us 3D curbs/sidewalks, snow seems to only be a 2D overlay.
