Why Won’t These Two Get Along? (Throughly Solved, LOL)
I decided to make Sims different from the/my norm. I was trying to make them not necessarily get along with anyone and everyone they met. The concept was/is a bully-boy with a badge (i.e. a mean detective) and a non-commital, party-going girl.
I created Joshua H. and Kylie T. Josh’s traits are mean, music lover, jealous and muser. Kylie’s traits are non-commital, dance machine, genius and quick learner.
I made them to be boyfriend/girlfriend and living together at the start of the game. This failed to take into account that a boyfriend/girlfriend option isn’t available in CAS. The game started off with them as virtual strangers.
I even had to buy a seperate single bed because by the end of the first day (and with Welcome Wagon issues taking up time to boot) they were nowhere near sharing a bed. I thought that was temporary and surmountable.
But now, a week/season and a half in and the pair will still not get along. They haven’t even kissed.
Everytime they have tried to get flirty so far, they both end up embarrased and turned completely off. :/
This is made even worse by my recent acquisition of the Meaningful Stories mod, which prolongs moods/emotions; but is unlikely the cause of my Sims apparent incompatibility by virtue of being installed after the issues were first noticed.
SO I need help. Have I gone too far in pursuit of Sims with personality? Is it just these two that are simply different from each other (should they perhaps look elsewhere)? Or are there ways to get them together, even if it takes more work and more time (which, honestly, is more realistic anyhow).
