There are tons of things that would interest me more in a beach vacation GP than swimming in the ocean, like building sandcastles or playing in the sand, relaxing, beach volley or tennis, or even playing in the waves. I don't need that in the old worlds though, so I couldn't care less if they don't make the body of water swimmable in the old worlds.
