Honestly there's zero benefit whatsoever to preordering anything for the sims but I sometimes do it anyway just cause I'm really excited about the new content. It starts downloading either way asa you bought it so that's not an argument to me. You don't lose more than a few seconds by buying it on release day, so the choice is really up to you and your situation. Cause the only real benefit for someone may be that they have the money now and spend it now to get it out of the way and not use their next paycheck or whatever. But whether you give that money to EA now or put it aside and give it to them later, also doesn't really make much of a difference, except maybe a subjective feeling about it :)
