Oh man, the difference in pay between the low ranks of a Job and the high ones is life-changing.
There's one thing I always liked about the Sims 4's Jobs and such.
Back when I first played the Sims series, I was always so bad at getting a maintaining Sim friendships, and with promotions gated behind having a certain number of friends, on top of the proper skills, I could never advance.
In Sims 4, you basically just need the skills, and to not go to Work feeling awful and you're well on your way to riches.
Or at least sustainability!
Though for me, it always seems like when I have anything leftover after Bills, I'm immediately like "Yes, okay, saving money? Nah, let's get my Sims that new Couch. Oh, and a carpet. Maybe a cute potted plant for her desk." And then I'm right back where I started, but at least with a better-looking home.
