I'm not really sure I see all that much of an advantage to bigger neighborhoods when you can't visit another lot inside it without a loading screen anyway. Is there really that much difference to twenty lots in a world and twenty lots in a single neighborhood? If it was that large there would have to be five times as many sims wandering through it to keep it from feeling empty, which would slow it down to San Myshuno speed or worse. And unless they improve how sims act outside of homes, your sim would go on even more epic runs when trying to just talk to another sim, since they won't just stop walking. And I don't even want to think about the routing across the whole thing. Personally, I'd rather be able to edit the common areas in the neighborhoods to make them more interesting. I get what you're saying, but with load screens no matter where you go, I don't think bigger is necessarily all that better.
