- ChampandGirlie5 years agoSeasoned AceI actually like Spa Day a lot. Dine Out needs to be updated so that the restaurants aren't bugged. It used to be one of my favorites, but recently the restaurants are pretty broken.
- Dine Out is a giant bug fest. Concept is fine but playing it is ruined by bugs. Plus I don't really use most of build/buy items.
I don't really use Outdoor Retreat very often, but do love the trees it added. Strangerville gameplay was limited. It was fun once but lacked replayability. It is saved by it's wild and build/buy.
But even with those packs weak long term gameplay, Dine Out because of it's bugs is worse, and it's build/buy is the weakest offering of any game pack in my opinion. - verfens5 years agoSeasoned VeteranOutdoor Retreat by far is the worst imo. The world's pretty, the build/buy's alright, as is the CAS...but there's no pizazz in it. It's really painfully obvious that it's the first pack, and like all of the first packs, it kind of sucks. Jungle Adventure handled the vacation aspect of the vacation world so much better. What's worse is that with seasons installed it's impossible to complete anything relating to the aspiration in a timely manner.
People hating on Vampires here just don't like occults, and like that's on them, but pretending that makes it the worst game pack when outdoor retreat exists with 1 skill, bug collectibles, campfires, horseshoe tossing and tents? lol. Vampires as a pack has solid build/buy objects, a creepy matching world, fun CAS assets, and an in depth system that brought more life to occults than any game had previously with the sims. The only other option here that's really a contender is Dine Out due to the sheer number of bugs, and the silly, silly fact you can't hire your own family members to work in your family's restaurant! Even then, the build/buy objects keep it a little bit higher than outdoor retreat for me, as with the fact that even with the bugs, your sims can go to restaurants without needing to own them. - tough choice, on one hand I still feel like spa day was more of a stuff pack than a GP, but I do use its main content more than outdoor retreat.
I like the bugs and the herbalism of OR but as a vacation pack it's a let down for me, cause the vacation world is very boring and empty.
They should've combined the two, spa day and OR, have a spa in the woods, so some people go there for a spa retreat and others to camp or something.... - simsimsere5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Spa Day has less content than all the others, and it's very laggy and broken. I can't get yoga classes to even start anymore.
Dine Out is also extremely laggy, but it at least still functions. It doesn't work every single time, but most of the time it does. Spa Day never works anymore. I don't know what update broke it, because it was just fine when I first got it, but not anymore. It's been a couple years of it not working properly and they still haven't patched it.
@Sheepiling Are you playing in a user made spa? I've found those often have problems with yoga classes, because the use of MOO and making the class room too packed. Another problem that I've encountered is that people haven't used the correntct yoga instructor mat, but just a regular yoga mat. I would check that those things are ok and hopefully you can get your yoga classes running. - Magdaleena965 years agoSeasoned AceI got Spa Day in a bundle and basically never use it. Also, its saunas are weird. I'd rather have TS2 ones, since they actually remind me of the ones I grew up with.
- Perthelia5 years agoSeasoned AceI actually like all of them, although I tend to cut Outdoor Retreat some slack for being the first one. I'd love to have more destination/vacation worlds. Vampires is my favorite with Strangerville and Dine Out tied for second, but I have found many uses for aspects of all the game packs throughout my gameplay (for instance, I use stuff from Spa Day all the time and love the wellness skill but seldom send sims to "the spa").
Having said that, I voted for Realm of Magic which I found really disappointing, and I'm not even sure why. I love occults, I really wanted magic users, and I love the aesthetic in both BB and CAS. Nevertheless when it came out I was totally unenthused and have played spellcasters a total of twice. I am just really indifferent to the whole pack. (It might be that unusable greenhouse in the magic world, grrrr.) - GalacticGal5 years agoLegendI had expected more from this game pack but it's designed more for those who play a single Sim. Using it to take a team on a 'mission' just doesn't happen. Even taking a family there, it's hard to keep them together and hard to have more than the Sim in the lead have the adventure. I'm just totally unimpressed.
- No hate for the pack I am just not a fan of vampires overall as they keep dropping by uninvited. Would so love the option to turn them off.
I do love all the items that came with the pack though which is the main reason I bought it. - Maybe I'm just lazy but I wish you could toggle the character values on and off
