A definite no to babies. I don't understand why people are so die-hard for a baby update. They don't offer any interesting thing to the game, other than to wake up your Sims by crying or pooping. Like real babies, there really isn't interactivity with them because you can't teach babies anything, you can't really communicate with them, they don't really exhibit a personality, and they're just noisy body fluid machines until they become toddlers.
I think toddlers are perfect for the super young Sims, because they ARE at the stage where you can begin communicating, teaching, and shaping their lives, and their personalities actually start to show through quite vividly. I just see no appeal to the baby stage that would make them worth expanding on, because it only exists as a way to get a new Sim from the womb to toddler.
