Would you like pre-teens?

I feel like a lot of the sims adventures are targeted for YA and older. Children and teens are boring for me because Kids can't learn much and my teens spend all their time 'catching up' for lost years. If there is an extra life stage, it must be paired with special interactions and moodlets: can't think of any at the moment but some basic ones are like first crush, first love, prom, pimples, hold parties, be most popular among peers etc.

I'd really like something that's between kid and adult. So, yes, I think I'd like pre-teens. Or to just make the existing teenagers a little "younger" and less adult-like. I usually have to double check what age a sim is when looking for datable sims in the YA stage. Teens look so similar I often mistake them for adults! I'd like them to be a little, noticeably shorter than their adult versions.

Okay, that's it. If people are going to push for preteens, I'm pushing for Demiliches and Eldritch Gods. Let's really make the Elders matter.

That opens a series of game play conundrums, not the least of which is naming. Do we change the name on achieving lichdom or do we insist on naming the newborn Nuxkuulush the Unfathomable? "Hi, I'm Ken, this is my wife Francince, and our son Nuxkuulush the Unfathomable." Nuxkuulush the Unfathomable does not want to eat his animal crackers, and so on.

I'd rather teens and Young Adults were better differentiated.

Completely unecessary and a waste of resources. Im glad it'll never happen. The more lifestages the less content.

Children in the game are more or less pre-teens. They used to look about 8, but now they look closer to 11. Teens look older too. They're the same height as adults and they wear all the same clothes as adults (I actually like the shared clothing, though). I don't think we need to make kids younger again to squish in tweens. I agree with all the people who want to flesh out the states we have now.

Yes yes and yes - because the difference between a child and teenager is big. Preteens would be a nice transit between the two life stages
