Wow, They All Sang Together!

I often try to have my Sims sing together on a holiday. It seldom works out, though. Today, even though the entire family didn't show up, three of them did and they sang together. Then while they were still standing in the same place, I had another of their siblings join them to sing yet another holiday song. They sound great altogether like that and it lifted my spirits. Having a bit of a rough day, so at least this happened. :)

I love it too when they sing together for the holiday. :)
  • This sounds nice. It reminded me of a club in my game I used to play, the club gathered to sing on the streets of San Myshuno. It was very nice seeing them perform as a group at misc holidays. I don't remember if it worked better with holiday songs or if they could sing whatever. Winterfest was my favorite though :)

I have tried for this to happen. What generally takes place is one or even two will start singing, and the others will gather to where I sent them and begin singing the same song, but it's out-of-sync. That's what startled and tickled me all at once. The three kids were all together and singing like a choir, of sorts. I was particularly pleased when the youngest added some harmony on the end. His voice went to a high note, while the others went low at the end. So nice. :)
  • I had my Sim family do that a couple weeks ago. It was nice. I ended up making them go through all the choices so I could hear them all.

I have never heard them sing out of sinc during the holidays. They usually sing around the menorah and one time did it around the turkey dinner. Maybe because they were all gathered there they sang together?
  • So...are you saying that it might be possible for Sims with high enough Singing skill to form an a cappella group or a barbershop quartet through a Club? Even if they can only manage to stay in sync during holiday celebrations, that would be fun.

Yes, it's possible - and fun :) Most of the time al 5 members did join singing, but sometimes NPCs would walk up to talk. When that happened my group just traveled on to their next street corner. With club perks they can also build singing skill faster.

Oh I love this! I want to try out a group of Winterfest Carolers now! It’s winter in my game, and Winterfest isn’t far away, so this little tip came in perfect timing! ?

Here's another tip I discovered. Gather your Sims together, first then have them sing. I got lucky the three siblings were still awaiting the rest of the household, after they sung together on their own. They were still there, when I had my singer Sim walk away from his plate of food to join them. It was glorious. :) And like I mentioned above, somewhere, the youngest, still a Child Sim, decided to harmonize a bit by singing higher on the last musical phrase of the wimble jibbs? That was a nice touch.
