Graham just confirmed that if you have city living that you can become famous for being a singer. More crowds of sims will show up around you the better your skill and fame, and you get better tips. Singing karaoke on mic night is a great way to help boost awareness. On mobile so i cant post his tweet but I will when I get home. That's pretty great. If we can get famous by playing instruments then maybe we could make bands even though they aren't an official feature. They might have varying degrees of fame but that's realistic.

@Zeldaboy180 erm I would take out confirmed as nothing has been confirmed as singing becoming a career track in the game...
using the karaoke machine doesn’t make you a professional singer...
So I think it’s safe to say the entertainment career will be the best route for now.
You can barely make much tips being a DJ unless your using a mod !

I’ve wanted self employment back since the base game was released. As others are saying it’s silly that you can be a level 10 in the archaeology skill or own a vet clinic but you are considered to be unemployed by the game. Archaeology should have been a career, in my opinion.

Singing likely won't be an actual career track but you can be a musician in the Entertainment career and sing with guitar, piano, or even just at the microphone. Maybe they're tweaking the Entertainment career to have singing count in some way.
