I could and I like that idea, but my sim's home is going to be a huge mansion and the lot I'm on isn't that large. I don't really want my sim's collection on her home lot, it takes up so much space and I'm planning on having a large mansion with a lot of luxury & family rooms and I don't want my sim's collection sprawled all around the house really. Though I will probably have a few of my sim's most prized items at home.
Though, that is a good idea and maybe once I finish the mansion I'll see if I can squeeze a tiny private museum on the lot there somewhere. I really wish lots were bigger in TS4, there's hardly any room for expansion! Lol.
I also would like to make a private museum that's empty and ready for private use so that I can upload it to the gallery for all the other collectors out there that would like a nice place dedicated to their big collections. Also, it would keep the household bills down if the collection was kept out of the house and on a community lot.
I'm going to test this out and see if a community private museum works, if not I'll have to do like you said and fit a small private museum on my lot somewhere, I don't know where man, lots are so small in TS4! :p
