I also love the idea of a private museum! It's so rewarding to be able to see all of your sim's collection put up on display. My sim's personal inventory was getting so cluttered and I knew that if I wanted to collect everything in the game, it would clutter up my sim's tiny house SO fast! Plus, for my rich sims it gives them an added sense of posh to own their own private museum filled with all their rare and interesting collectibles. Or it's even great for that hermit sim that lives alone and all they care about is hoarding their collectibles. So many cool stories you can do with a private museum or a private painter's studio.
I really love that the lot type generic keeps other sims off the lot, I hope EA doesn't change that and if they do they had better give us an option to tag a lot as "No Visitor's Allowed." I would love it if they gave us doors that could assign ownership, even on community lots. That way you could build your own bar and keep the public out of the private apartment upstairs.
