Your game failed to launch

How do you fix the “your game failed to launch” message? I’m trying to launch my sims 4 game through the EA app and I keep getting this message. I just was playing the new update for infants plus the new expansion and had to restart my computer for another reason. Now when I try to reload the game I keep getting this message. All my TS3 or TS4 games aren’t showing up under the home page and I try launching through the library I get this message. Thanks.
