I always find it very interesting about the Sims how different playstyles are. For me personally aging off would be extremely boring because it removes all challenges and although I mostly like the Sims in my legacy families I'm also always excited to play with the next heir, so anything different than aging with short lifespan does not really work for me or I would be bored.
