Anyone else still having aging issues?

I can easily understand people wanting to play legacy games with several generations, and why that would be a lot of fun. I can even understand some people's need for realism in their game. But in my life, all my friends and relatives did not die after a few weeks of knowing them from birth to Grimmie. So I find it MUCH more realistic that my sims are still very much alive in my game after only a few years of play. Not that I feel my way of playing is "best" because this game should be what each person wants it to be. The appeal has always been to live a sim's virtual life YOUR way. I hope everyone can find a way to make that happen, after the last patch.
