Archeological Collectables missing after moving houses
I apologise if this is the wrong discussion board to ask this in, but anyway.
My Sim is an archeologist and has collected many things from the Jungle Adventure world. All those things were sitting around her apartment. I decided I wanted to move house, and before doing so put all my important objects in my household inventory (including all collectables). And then moved. I picked a new house and all that, and did also choose to keep old furniture, and then I moved in.
A bit into furnishing my sims new house I noticed that I didn’t have a single collectable in the household inventory. I also checked my sim’s inventory and none of them were there.
I tried exiting to the main menu without saving and logging back in, but unfortunately I had already saved after moving houses.
extra: I have all expansion packs, most game packs (not including werewolves, wedding stories and battu) and about half the stuff packs.
i have quite a few mods, though the only ones I would imagine to effect this are MC Command Centre, UI cheats extension, and T.O.O.L and organised build and buy by Tmex.

You can try recovering an earlier save from before you moved to get the objects back. Hopefully, you haven't saved more than 5 times since you moved the sim. Just use the load button on the main menu and select your last save and click on the recover button next to the delete button. Then select one of the save versions to recover. It will create a new save that you then load as usual, and you can check if the objects are there. If they are, play on. If not, repeat the process using another version. Keep going until you find a save with the items still in it or you run out of saves to try. Recover can be a game saver at times. See the pic below for the location of the recover button.
After finding your items, you can try to move again. This time, try setting all the collectibles out on the floor so they go into the household inventory when you keep the furniture. I do that for pretty much everything except the harvestables. Everything else is either on the floor, a surface or on the walls. I haven't lost anything that way where I have lost things when moving that were in the sim's inventory.
