Hello,
I tried downloading custom content. I have followed and watched at least ten or twelve youtube videos. I go to documents > electronic arts > Sims 4 > Mods and place the custom content there. I have turned on both "enable custom content and mods" and "script mods allowed" then closed the game. I've added multiple different custom content from users and not a single one of them work. I've repaired the game, closed it out a million times and still nothing. Not a single thing works. I have no idea what to do and I need help. I have a CFG file in the mods folder that says Resource.cfg as well. Still nothing tho, I've removed multiple content and added it one by one to the folder then loaded the game up. It does not appear and it not present in the game. Everything is unzipped as well. Is sims just not allowing any custom content right now? Or am I just unlucky and every single item that I've wanted to add is broken and outdated. The last time majority of them were updated were either this month, or back in dec/nov. I would greatly appreciate any help from anyone as this has been a frustrating night for me. Thanks

Hi @Autumn_1865 The resources.cfg is a file created by the game; just leave it there.
When you go back into the game, are your options to allow CC and script mods still ticked on?
What's the full path of your Mods folder, going all the way up to the drive it's on?

Hi! The path that i found them under starts under my onedrive > personal > my documents > electronic arts > sims 4 > mods. I'm not sure if that is how its supposed to be set up on my laptop, but each time I had opened the game to see if any of the custom content had downloaded, I would go to settings and it would say that the options for CC and script mods are still on. I had downloaded mods about 3 years ago on another laptop but the set up of adding the mods were so different. I had to add folders and winRAR was required. I was wondering if perhaps I should have just restarted my computer entirely to see if the custom content worked, but i did close out of the game and EA each time to see if the content would load up but sadly still nothing. I just emptied out the mods folder, the resources.cfg is the only thing that remains in it.

@Autumn_1865 OneDrive is likely the cause of your problems. Here's a post on getting your content out of OneDrive and consistently where the game can actually see it: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/CURRENT-ISSUE-Sims-4-saves-user-content-disappearing-PC/td-p/12475370
