Game will not open

My game refuses to open, it runs but doesn't open. I've done the 50/50 method 3 or 4 times, I've reinstalled, made a new sims 4 folder, did batch fixes with the sims 4 studio, took everything out of my mods folder and still the game refuses to open. I was able to start it with a few cc folders eventually, but now it's doing the broken thing again. I'm at a loss of what to do at this point. please help.

  • IJadexoxoI Please make sure you're disconnected from OneDrive -- see  https://forums.ea.com/kb/the-sims-helpers-blog-en/pc-managing-onedrive/12636625

    Then try this:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop and rename it.
    2. Run a Game Repair in the EA App. (If you use Steam, the equivalent is Verify Integrity.)
    3. Launch Sims 4. You should get no list of mods on launch, and you should have no option to load a previous save. Reset your Options.
    4. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

If a test save keeps working, you can start copying old files into the newly created folders.

    Hi IJadexoxoI,

If you have a laptop, please ensure that the game does not start via the processor's integrated graphics unit.

To do this, go to the Windows settings, select Gaming, find The Sims 4 Exe, and set it to Maximum Performance. Alternatively, you can set this in the NVIDIA container.
