Are babies considered unplayable for aging purposes?

Was just wondering as babies aren't technically playable, but the household is. So would those babies fall under the playable or nonplayable sims under aging options? Rather hoping the latter since you can't do much with them anyway. Just a few interactions using your other sims, and they can't even pick them up and take them anywhere...even on your own lot. Kinda lame that they are bassinet bound.

  • @SirGelan They should count as playable for the aging options as the baby is still in your household (if you are playing that household of course)

@boom_5783 Ugh no. Bassinet bound is what babies currently are. The ability to take the baby with you at least around the house to sit on a rockingchair or give it a bath or whatever would be cool. Maybe even give the baby a tour pointing out stuff around the house and talking about it for a steady growth of parenting and friendship instead of just all short actions and then boom...back in the bassinet.
  • They used to have that in previous versions. Like the sims 3 sims could carry them around and stuff but it was buggy and sometimes sims would put them in weird places and just leave them. Maybe they're trying to iron out quirks like that before they make babies able to be in the open world again. Maybe sims 5???

@Sherbmonkey Lol yeah their programming does seem rather subpar. Glitches everywhere. Hell Goth manor constantly had sims get stuck in all the bathrooms cause of decorations that shouldn't have been considered in the way. Worst part is the house came that way. I added nothing other than a treadmill and weight machine in the backyard.

@SirGelan Those options sound really good. I like them. I don't play the babies any more as the parents wont take care of them.

@223angela Thanks. After the first one I got friendship about halfway up before aging the next. Both parents already maxed parenting so babies are simple now to care for which allows me to just wait and age up however I feel like spacing apart the ages of my kids. I found working on values for toddlers taxing so once they have max skills I just keep their needs up till I'm ready to age them. I now have my first child, a toddler, and another baby on the way. Values still more confusing and taxing than dealing with babies Imo. Lol well emotional control mostly. I'll just use the doctor toy for empathy when I get to that. It is rather annoying though that events always lower one value to raise another. I never lost manners when I stood up to bullies.
