Area where it shows what they are doing goes away

So basically every time there is more then one sim in my household the dim bar that shows what they are doing disappears and sometimes the moods like are stressed from work turns blue and I don’t know how to fix it and it is so annoying because I am trying to do the 100 baby challenge please help.
