hi hi! I’m not sure if this is the right discussion to come to but I’ve been downloading tons of mods over the last year or two and some have required scripts but I've now come to realise that in the game my scripts were not turned on and that's why half of my mods weren't actually working (I'm assuming). I found this out because I wanted to get MCCC, once I went into the game the MCCC button was not showing up and I was told to turn on scripts through research, I did this and now my game wont load. Once I press "resume game" I get a Better Exception that says Critical Exception and just never completely loads, it never tells me the issue. I have tried to turn off the scripts and the game works fine after. So I'm not sure if one of the scripts are broken? or it's because I have too many scripts? I genuinely have no clue because I'm so new to "scripts" I don't even know what that means..
I'm not too sure what to do here because I'd really like to play with scripts on so MCCC and my other mods that effect my gameplay will work. Someone please help and give me step by step instructions on what I can do here because I'm desperateee.
iheartlynlyn Your game not loading could be do to any number of broken mods. Start by doing a mod-free test to make sure it loads without ANY mods at all: Rename the Mods folder, delete the localthumbcache file, and then test.
If you're fine with NO mods, you can start going through your mods to find issues. Start with a fresh download of Better Exceptions to be sure you're on the current version. Use the resources linked in Mod & CC Issues: START HERE to make sure you're delete known broken mods.
