Help- Sims 4 Not Responding
I've spent all day trying to fix my Sims game but nothing is working- I think it might be a mod issue, but I'm not sure. Two days ago I downloaded a ton of medieval cc to start playing a medieval save, and yesterday I started downloading lots from the gallery to set up the world (all just bgc or with dlc, no mods). Everything was working fine until I was doing my second to last lot and it got stuck loading forever. This had happened before and I just forced quit. Then I tried to Facetime from my computer to show my partner what I'd made, but the game wouldn't go past the inital loading screen. I force quit it multiple times and tried to load it without facetime, but it didn't work. Today I downloaded Mod Manager and updated old cc and got rid of some broken stuff, but it still isn't working. I organized my medieval cc into gameplay, build/buy, and CAS folders, but it hasn't helped me isolate the issue- once the game worked with just the build/buy folder, but other times it doesn't and it never works with the other two. I have no idea what the problem could be, and if anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it! I'm on a Macbook Pro. Thank you!!
Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves - May/ July 2025
The problem is that everything is reserved, the time, the sims. You can't click anything. The time stops around 11:19/21 pm. I tried to find the error by modifying Better Exceptions, which showed that it is supposedly a problem with the mod: "NateTheL0ser_towelsetscripting.py" - or something like that. However, I can't find it anywhere in the game files. There is only a mention of it in Lastexceptation. Chat gpt tried to help me but in vain. I will also add that I can't throw all the mods to the desktop, because I have some installed via curse forge and some manually, which would remove them from my game and not find them later (I had this situation before), so this method is out. I beg for help, I want to play on the same save and not lose it. I had to create a new one with previous sims once.Invisible sims make it impossible to travel!!
Hello, this is my first time posting on here so please excuse me if I'm not exactly clear. About a year ago my game was in a horrible state. Every time I wanted to travel with my sims, the game would freeze, I would have to force quit, and I would lose all of my progress. After a while though I figured out that the travel screen only froze if, 1.) there was an invisible sim on the lot or, 2.) the box at the bottom of the screen with your sim face is invisible. I don't really know how to explain it, but I did find a solution last year on an old forum. It had something to do with the slice of life mod or something, but my new mods folder doesn't have that. Does anybody know of any mods that is causing this?
