OMG I FIXED IT. get the better exceptions mod (https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/better-exceptions) and when you open your game and it’s stuck on the black screen, the better exceptions mod will pop up and run a test on what’s causing your screen to go black.
delete or update said mods it’s telling you and it’ll go back to normal (the mods are usually irrelevant)
This worked for me too! Thanks so much, you saved me a lot of tears- for me it was TMEX- All Scenarios causing the error, which was weird because yesterday it worked absolutely fine.
