K9DB from Mod the Sims teleport pads only seem to work if you are not a toddler. might be related to what LittleMsSam reported. i caught a lock icon above a toddlers head one time when trying to use the ground floor pad before i figured out why the toddler couldn't use the "new" stairs from the 2nd to the 4th floor.
