Its listed that the NPCC mod is working and while it does work for most part I think its important to mention that as of the time of writing this comment it also prevents the game from spanning roommates at your university dorm.
I also at the moment have found no new option to manually set sims as roommates using the mod.

  Added Support for new University Urn (Release all Ghosts), “Change Into Everyday When Inside” should hopefully not cancel Interactions anymore.
