I found some interesting issues. Script mods that still work, mess up pathing and go here commands ... don't ask me why. I click a location, say go here, and the Sim "may" go somewhere near it, but usually goes all over the place. They can also really mess up the menu dial too ... and it really messes with the new grouping commands. I don't know if it's all scripted mods, but I have been taking the ones I want out, putting them in for something I want to do, then removing them again immediately. So check your scripted mod. They may be working fine, but messing something else up.
I had that too going-all-over-the-place, Ulfric! But mod-free. Try this:
1. Move (not copy) Saves, Tray, Mods, Screenshots, and Custom Music folders and the Options.ini file to your
desktop. Delete the Scratch subfolder and the Autosave (00000001) files from inside Saves.
2. Delete the rest of the The Sims 4 folder from your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
3. Repair Game in Origin.
4. Start the game, and exit the game. Now you have a fresh Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder.
5. Copy all the folders and the Options.ini file back and start the game again.
