Bug for one particular household

The household had fire and I couldn't extinguish it normally because it was located in the roof. I teleported two of my sims to the room near the fire, but they still couldn't directly extinguish the fire because the roof wasn't accessible. So, I used LOTS of "Reset object: debug" and "Set as head" cheats and it took me approximately 15 hours of Sims time to finally put out the fire. After that, I closed the game and opened it again, only to found out that this household is really buggy: my sims won't move at my order, they keep standing and doing nothing. I tried using "reset object: debug", clearing my household inventory items, and restarting my laptop but they were useless. My other household works perfectly fine, so I assume that the bug has something to do with the recent fire incident. Some information: 1. Member: A family of 4, a cat and a butler 2. CC/Mod use? YES 3. Lot size: 50x50, in Willow Creek 4. Version: 1.87.40.1230 (MacBook Air 2020), with all of DLCs downloaded.

Here are some things you can try.

Move the family out and then back in.  Sell the furniture when you move them out so it's still there when you move back in.  And you'll have to rehire the butler again.

If that doesn't work, move the sims out.  From the map, enter the lot in build mode.  Save the house to your library.  Bulldoze the lot.  Replace the house with the one from the library.  Move the household back in.

Another option if the house is a premade lot.  Start a new game.  After going through making a sim and placing them, go to map then the lot.  Copy the lot to your library.  Exit to the Main Menu and reload your save.  Move your household out again, this time keeping the furniture.  Then from the map, enter the lot in build mode and replace it with the copy of the original from your library.  Move your sims in.  If you made any changes to the building before, they will be gone so you'll have to redo them and then sort out the household inventory to get sell the items you don't need.  The reason to keep the furniture is so you don't lose the collectibles and other items that aren't on the copy of the lot.

Out of curiosity, what caught on fire and what caused it?  Fires only occur in rooms or with certain objects so I'm guessing you had some type of room that a sim can't get to.  But dust, dust bunnies and filth fiends will generate in them so I'm guessing a filth fiend caused the fire.  Is that the case or something else?

    Hope this helps.
