build mode
Whenever I select a lot and try to enter build mode in the game, the game takes me back to the main menu so I am unable to edit my lots. When I try to enter the lot, all the furniture is deleted as well.

elizia333 This is typically caused by outdated mods. Please test "vanilla": rename the Mods folder, delete the localthumbcache file, and try again.
Hi, I've tried this and my game still reboots me to the main menu whenever I try to enter a lot or household. Any idea what to try to fix it?
Remove the mods folder entirely and try repairing the game. Make a copy of your save folder for backup. See if the game works and the house loads. If it does... You don't need to save, but if you do you will need the backup save folder because saving without mods and CC will remove all mods and CC from the house.
Put mods back and try again. If it loads great, if not then it is something in the mod folder.
Also try creating a new save. Keep mods in and see if the game loads to a house. If it does then the problem might be a corrupted save file. In that case use the load save option and try going back in time to an earlier save.

- In your regular save, can you load a household you never touched before, or put a newly created household in an empty lot?
- Can you load a household in a NEW save?
