Can’t play

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Are you getting any error messages when taken back to the map ?

I’m getting no error messages. It’s going from Home Screen to map, then I try to load in my game then back to map. In this loop. I tried everything and it didn’t fix. 

I have the same problem - after the update I can't play the game at all. Every time I want to travel from my house to another lot, the game starts to load and goes back to the neighbourhood selection with no household selected. I pick the family I'm playing with again, and it just returns to the house. So I'm stuck.

It got even worse when my sims went to work (acting career) and I pressed "go with". The studios never opened. I was just back at the world/neighbourhood selection. When I again selected the family and the sim that went to work it started loading and again - back to the neighbourhood selection page with no family selected for play. I restarted the game and got the sims back to the house, so now she's not in a void somewhere, but the problem occurs every single time. So I can't play the game at all. Please fix this ;__; 

I have same problem, I have tried go to different plots, but any of them doesn't work, I can still do sim characters normally, but I can't play with them at all. Everything worked normally before the update.

I also got error code once.

Loading screen starts to loading normally for a while, but then it throws me back to the maps and map says that I have played with the family, where I tried to go, even tho I haven't.

It happens with all households. I did the above last night july 27. It does it when any script kid is installed. Not just a specific one. Any updated script mod it won’t run. And I know they don’t “support” mods. But its supposed to be able to run them. It’s not the mod. I only have 3 and they’re updated. I tried loading a game with only one in the game and it took me to map screen with every mod. So it’s the game. 

Yes. I tried only one piece of cc that has a script file. The only thing I had in my game at the time. And it did the same. It’s for any script file for cc or mods. No matter which one or the size. I’ve tried it for all them. The problem didn’t start back up after trying the above until I turned script mods back on. With only one script mod in my game for testing it still didn’t work. One crib cc and it’s script mod to work was the only thing in game. Because I turned script mods back on it stopped working.
