Can anyone tell me why my screen gets grey out of the blue in my sims game?

Question

I'm trying to play in my game and suddenly I click on something and the whole screen turns grey, I don't know what to do, because every time that happens I have to turn off the computer and turn it on again, otherwise it won't work, and I lose all my progress

. Any ideas?

@paunabu_26  What platform are you playing on ? Any mods/CC in your game ?Does it matter where you click or mostly on the fridge, computer, other Sims ?

I play on PC and I have a bunch of mods but I've checked and theorically it's not any mod I have installed. It can happen while evicting someone or entering build mode, and clicking on a fridge and the kind of things that open a new tab. Like chatting or picking roommates.&nbsp;

@paunabu_26 Could you please remove your mods, delete the localthumbcache file and test without any mods/cc. Backup your save before attempting. This is a vital step for troubleshooting.

Could you also post your Computer's DxDiag?

- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post
