Can you sell mod furniture items in a retail store?
Hello,
I am considering buying the Get To Work expansion pack, as I'd really like to create a shop with Asian antique furniture. Unfortunately, the base game and official packs don't really offer these items, only mods.
So, my question is, can you sell furniture from mods in a retail store or are you limited to what is officially available in the game?
@sogekihei Hello! I was able to set a CC piano for sale in my shop. It does not display a price though, so I'm not sure how it will work.
Edit: I sent another household to the shop and found that they could buy the piano. This item in BB costs $649 and my other household had the option to buy it for $1041. The shop is set to 50% markup so this sounds about right. In conclusion, I think this means you can add CC furniture to a shop and set them for sale. The profits then depend on the markup percentage you set. You just won't see how much the item costs like you do for other items.
Edit 2: After a bit more testing, I noticed that other items in the game, not CC, also do not show a price. So as the shop owner you may have to manually calculate the sale price for these to know how much to expect from a sale. I also noticed some items did not have the option to set for sale. If you want to give me some examples, I don't mind testing them for you. Please do not link to mods / CC directly, just list the creator and the names of the items you think you'd like to sell.
