  • Hi @oliviatinglej . This issue is known to have been caused by the mod Faster Mirror Interactions by Mercury Disaster, and there might have been similar causes with mods for shower interactions or even CC showers.

Could you please try this sequence to see if it resolves? It's a little more drastic but might get rid of vestiges of glitching.

Part 1 is testing a true "vanilla" save:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a pure vanilla save. You may need to check the Gameplay Options to make sure hair growth is enabled.

If that works, then we know it's not the game itself, and you can now test your old save:

    1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder on your desktop into the new Saves folder that has been created in Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select your regular save to test. You might need to put a new shower in.
    3. Exit without saving.

Now you'll know if your previous save is okay. Assuming that it is okay, you'll have mods and CC to check through. You might want to start with looking for updates for mods that aren't listed in "Previously Broken" in the Broken/Updated Mods topic. After that, add them back in in batches, and delete localthumbcache anytime you remove a mod again because things stopped working.

If you do find a culprit that isn't Faster Mirror Interactions by Mercury Disaster, I'd like to know what it is!
