CAS full edit mode

is this with or without mods/cc ?

Did you never have any or remove them ? What platform are you playing on ?

With mods on pc with ea app. I removed the mod I thought was the culprit but I believe this has something to do with using cas.fulleditmode cheat and editing townies/random sims that are not a part of my current family 

How many Sims are there in the family? If there are more than 8, it cannot be modified using the game option. The modification is Mcc Sims 1, then Sims 2, each Sim alone.

I had 4 sims in my family, one pregnant. I traveled to another sim’s lot that invited me over and attempted to just change her appearance a bit while visiting her using shift click and CAs.fulleditmode 

Do you have a backup of your save ?

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the gam
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

This will only work if you still have a save where the family is still there.

Yes I’ve lost several saves already and finally learned my lesson lol so I was able to recover. Just reporting this in case it’s a bug that other people experience too, thank you! 

You need to figure out if it's your mods or a game issue.

Like I said before I’m just sharing my experience, hopefully someone that plays without mods will see and report as well if that’s the case. I actually don’t have a lot of free time and so I don’t intend on removing all of my mods and editing a bunch of random townies to see if maybe it’s EA or mods. I’m taking all precautions to make sure my saves are recoverable and in case anyone else reads this and has the same issue, I’m now editing townies/other fams from manage worlds menu instead of shift click. If this isn’t the right forum for this thats my bad. Just wanted to share :)

I have used casfulleditmode on townies and not had that problem but I only play with MCCC and UIcheats And WW. and frequently have more than 8 sims in my household using MCCC. So if I were you I would try to find the mod causing this put them in a new mods folder a couple at a time. rename your old mods folder.

Ive already removed the mod I thought was the culprit was just sharing in case anyone else had the same issue :)
