CC clothing shows up in mods list, but not in CAS

Hi everyone,

I've downloaded some CC clothing for Sims 4. The items show up in the mods list that the game shows when you start up, but when I go to CAS or when I start a new game I can't find the CC in the items. As far as I know I did everything right; the CC is updated, I don't have any subfolders and the resource.cfg is in my mods file. Does anyone know how to fix this, because it is ruining the game for me.

Also script mods are working and I can see CC furniture. It's just CC clothing that doesn't show up in the game.

@Samnotsamantha Thanks for sharing those!  I see that you're playing the legacy edition.  It's very likely that the CC that's missing just isn't rendering properly in the LE version of the game, even though the package files may be recognized at startup.  If you could tell me which specific CC isn't showing up for you, I would like to get some of the items to see if they show in my game.

Also, is there a reason you are playing the legacy edition?  I'm just wondering if it would be possible for you to switch to the 64-bit.

  • @Samnotsamantha Hello!  Did you try filtering by content in CAS?  Mine doesn't show results because I don't have any CC clothing.

If you still don't see your items, double check that the items are unzipped / extracted and that any required meshes are also placed in the mods folder along with the CC package files.  Hope this helps.

  • @JonaO703 thx for your reply!! I have tried filtering and only one thing showed up, which is really weird to me. All the other items are unzipped, extracted and I have all the required meshes :/

@Samnotsamantha That's so weird.  Apologies if this sounds silly, but can you double check that the CC was made for Sims 4?  Many times TS3 stuff can look a lot like TS4 stuff, and it's not always obvious.  Edit: I asked some friends about this and learned that TS3 CC will likely crash the game, so this is probably not the issue you're having.  Still, doesn't hurt to check? :-)

Would you mind sharing a screengrab of your mods folder?  You can do two or more grabs if you have a lot of CC.  Here's mine.

  •  @JonaO703 Thx for your help!! I'm pretty sure all the CC is meant for Sims4, but thanks for the suggestion. Anyway, here are screenshots of my mod folder.

  • @JonaO703 Omg I never even thought about that, I switched to the normal sims4 and now everything is running smoothly. I did have to delete my UI cheats mod, because it would crash my game, but that's another thing sooo
I'm just happy that everything is running again tysm!!
  • Hello! I have been having very similar issues as this user. I have the 64-bit game, and I downloaded the MC command mod, it works, but when I download furniture or clothing, it shows up on start up but doesn’t show in the game. All of the cc had been updated the last few months, but no cc seems to work. I had managed to get a background in CAS to work, but those are the only two that work for me so far. Please help!
