cc eye default replacements not deleting even after file is removed

Hi! So, I recently started going through cc eye stuff since with the eye detail section i never updated my cc for eye color. However i've run into the issue where old default replacements wont delete...

@WintersCoven A couple of things:

delete the file called localthumbcache after you remove or replace any mod/CC
make sure you've not got a second Mods folder floating around and are using the wrong one. Here's how to see what folder the game is seeing: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

I had already tried deleting the cache file, as i mentioned above. I also have double checked the location and its going to the right spot for the mods folder.

  @WintersCoven If you edit the Sims, can you get the defaults to go away? I use eye default CC and have never run into them sticking when I remove them to run tests. Another thing to try is a "Save As" on your save.

    Problem is im getting it when i go to create a new save, i havent tested it on old saves but i can if needed.
