CC has disappeared after update

Question

After the Life and Death patch, some of my CC has disappeared. Not all of it - I'm aware that if you save after a patch without mods enabled, all CC will be wiped, and that has not happened. The issue is with a handful of pieces I've had for years. The CC is and has always been in my mods folder, but for whatever reason it hasn't stayed on my sims after the update. It's even occurred on saves I haven't played since around 2018-19, as if the CC has been deleted.

Is there any way to fix this, or will I just have to redress every sim?

@luthienrising Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I've tried both of the solutions and they haven't resolved it - its definitely still in my mods folder, as it shows up in CAS. Could it be due to clearing my cache?
