My game will start but will not save, has anyone else had this issue i also repaired from ea app, deleted cache file and restarted computer and this been for two days.
When i try to save it will say unable to save game due to game still loading. To fix my issue i had to delete my mods and the game work properly.
Also having this issue someone on TT said it could be an UI mod giving this issue(if you have UI cheats try removing it) it don't have it but I'm also having this issue.
Oh, gosh, I can't save, travel or click on the shopping basket. Game suggests it's still loading. This after I finally was able to activate the Lost Legacies Event. Now, I'm very sorry I did so. I had another task to complete but it required my Sim to travel to the library in Willow Creek. It's grayed out. I did a game folder refresh to 'get rid of the event' only that didn't last long. Instead, my other save my MAIN save, couldn't save. It's the weirdest darn thing I've ever come across.
Right i reinstalled sims game and deleted my mods and still doing the same thing.

I will play without most mods. Two that I know of are cleared by their modder and one is vital to my Sim. Road to Fame, Erik is a Global Superstar at this moment in time. I really don't wish to walk away allowing his albums to go into the ether. Not enough time for him to go back and start all over again. So, I'll keep the hot fix for MCCC and Road to Fame but remove everything else. This is so very frustrating. I have already lost the save I was working off of and rolled back to an earlier moment to get started again, without taking a year to get back to where my Sims are at this moment in time. Oi. I play this game to relax, too. I'm not even close to that state of mind at the moment. This will certainly aggravate the condition I have been blessed with that took six months to 'resolve' for the time, too.
As for what happens when I attempt to save, it states the game is still loading so saving can't happen. The keys are grayed out, too. Can't save, can't travel, can't build, can't use the Gallery, can't click on the shopping cart, can't go into map mode --- they are all grayed out. No error code that I noticed.
Thank you. I discovered that by removing all other mods, save the MCCC hotfix and Road To Fame, that my game is now playing even with the Event activated. In fact, I managed to collect two more rewards just now. Who knew mods would interfere with an Event? I'd like to mark you as the solution, but I didn't start this thread.
My thanks to the players who gave timely advice. I removed all but the two that were that were cleared and good to go by their modders, MCCC Hotfix and Road to Fame, which I need for Erik. The tabs are no longer grayed out; in fact I was able to send Erik to Willow Creek to the library to continue the Quest. Yes, it's still activated and most importantly I can SAVE my game. Phew! I'm so joyful, I could sing, but I'll spare all of you that. 😉
So, for those who are still having issues, remove your mods folders, or at least only keep the mods that have been cleared and good to go by the modder themselves. I wish you all HAPPPY SIMMING!
