cc loads in opening screen but not in character creation

For some reason, the cc I downloaded shows up when I first open the game but not when I go into character creation. When I load up the game, the popup of my custom content shows up and everything is there. Once I go into character creation and put on the filter, though, it says I have no custom content. I make sure to turn off other filters such as "feminine" or "masculine" before searching. I did check to see if any of them are corrupted or need a mesh, but I should have everything correctly downloaded. If anyone could figure this out, I would appreciate it very much!
