CC not showing up in gallery uploads after moving sims files to new computer

Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone could help me with some troubleshooting. I recently got a new computer so I moved my sims 4 mods, tray, and saves from my old computer onto an external hard drive and moved it into my new game. With CC enabled in the Sims 4 on my new computer, my lots haven't been appearing like they did in my last game. To fix this someone said to go onto your old computer and upload any lots/sims to the gallery so you can move them over to the new computer. I did this and yet the houses/lots still arent appearing and even in the gallery the CC I had isn't showing up. I'm very confused and as a relatively new sims player I'm worried.

Any tips or advice?

  • @nikkimariee333 What platform are you playing on ? Are your save showing up properly from the external drive ?

If you go in to build mode, is the cc showing up there to newly place ?
  • @nikkimariee333Start by in the game open Options and click on Other, then on the button View Custom Content, to make sure your CC have been properly installed and is being read by the game.

If not, then remove the Sims4 folder by moving it to your desktop or other safe place, then start the game so it can generate a new game folder for you. When done with that, move the mods a few at the time over to the newly generated Mods-folder. DO NOT replace the new folder with your old one! Now start the game and check as I described in step one, if the game reads your mods.

Sorry @crinrict, I'm typing too slow. Didn't mean to interfere with your post.
