CC not showing up in game and save files gone!

Today I updated my game and after that I went to play it but my game acted like I had never logged on before! Prior to logging on I had moved the cc back into the mods folder and when I went to log on it was disabled- enabled it logged back on and it isn’t showing up. I have now deleted all my cc ( there was a bit) and re tried to download some but it’s still not showing up in the game 😔

also prior to today I would simple download the cc from TSR and I would just have to move it into it mods folder however now it’s saying it’s a zipped compressed file- I tried using 7 zip file but nothing still- however I’ve never had my cc come up like that before now!

Anyone have any idea what’s going on?! 😭

@taylorwalsh97  Please right-click on one of your custom content files and select Properties > General, and find the file path you see under Location.

Please also find the file path to the folder the game itself is reading.  Here's how to find it:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

If these two file paths don't match, that's the issue: your cc isn't in the folder the game is using, and you'll need to move your cc to the correct location.

If this doesn't help, or the cc is already in the correct location, please post a screenshot of the folder, as in, I'd like to see the list of files themselves.

For the missing saves, check the saves folder in the same Sims 4 folder where you've been placing your cc (before moving it, if in fact you need to move it), and let me know if you see any saves there.  If you do, and you're in fact not using the same folder as the game is reading, you'll need to move your saves just as you need to move your cc.
