CC Objects not showing up during gameplay

My Sims object cc isn't showing up in my game even though the scripts/cc tabs have been ticked and I've made sure everything has been updated. I see my mods/cc list at the beginning of the game after it has loaded saying it's in the game but when I get into the gameplay, it's just the same old ugly Maxis objects. I also can't modify any of my sims.
