Game stuck loading my household

Can you clarify some things for me?

• It's *every* previously played household, but you can play a new one the first time?
• Can you load a premade household you never loaded before?
• Does it happen if you rename your Mods folder?
• Does it happen if you download a single recent item of newly created CC from a reliable creator like SurelySims (for CAS) or peacemaker (for build mode), and have ONLY THAT in your folder?

Yes it’s every household that I have previously played and have a save with but creating a new household in CAS from the main screen works fine. 

I’d believe that a premade house would be fine as once again it’d just be downloaded in CAS and then started or do you mean one of the already housed families in the world? If the latter then I don’t think they’d work as that requires going into the game with a save already created and that won’t open. Not even to get to the manage worlds section. 

I wasn’t aware that I could rename my mods folder so I haven’t tried that, will the game still recognise it?

I also downloaded some new CC once this problem started and tried to play with just that new cc and the game still wouldn’t load, script mods seem to be fine though which is puzzling.

Rooeyboo22​ The reason you rename your mods folder is to test without mods. 

Delete your new CC. Solve that problem later, when your households are working. 

Could you please clarify if you can load saves you previous played? Use "load" from the main menu to pick out a save, then try to load a household you've played and one you haven't. Do this after renaming your mods folder.

I have completely removed the mods from the folder and put them into a separate folder on my desktop screen (not within the sims folder at all) and that didn’t solve the problem. 
When my mods aren’t in the folder it works fine, and I can load/resume game. Even with just my script mods, it will work. But when the CC is included, no matter how much or little (as I’ve tried with one piece, a subfolder, all and different ones) then the problem occurs. 

when I “load” an old save or the current save from the load screen, the same problem occurs. Hope this clarifies :)

Rooeyboo22​ Please try removing all CC, then redownloading just one item and putting it directly in your Mods folder. I recommend using a recent release by peacemaker because I 100% know those are absolutely fine. 

If that still doesn't work, please let me know if you're on a PC or a Mac.
