CC Sims not wearing their CC clothing

I have downloaded some Sims from TSR with all the required additional content. In CAS the Sim appears correctly with all the correct associated outfits. But when they appear in my game as an NPC they have random outfits. Is there a way to force them to appear as designed? A method other than having to manually overwrite all the outfits in CAS ideally.. Happy to use mods, wondered if MCCC might help but can't see a way
