Sims 4 basically shuts down. I've been having this problem for months, ever since this summer. I started my Sims 4 one day and it worked perfectly, then I realized my 240-ish mods weren't enabled, so I enabled mods and restarted Sims 4. I started it and the classic "Your mods" thingy showed up, but the X and Okay buttons were disfigured. Then I pressed to start a new game, no sim showed up. It was just the background, so I tried X-ing out. Didn't work, tried Control Alt Delete, didn't work, I right-clicked it and pressed the close tab, didn't work. It only closes when I restart my computer. I tried taking out some mods and only allowing a batch to test if it is a specific mod, said that Maxis doesn't support mods or something like that. I've tried submitting a form but got no response.

Hi @ankbreeze. You've got outdated UI mods, it sounds like. Start with the lists at Broken/Updated Mods , which covers updates since late September. If you still have issues, follow the link there to the previous lists, which cover late July to late September, for any that were updated then and not reupdated later. If you still have issues after updating mods, you'll need to isolate the culprit.
