@nn87m6tfhxe2 There is a known bug with this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Interaction-menu-delay-on-sims-and-computer-while-game-run-fine/td-p/9720148 but since you are using mods/cc that could also contribute to the issue.
Best if you try if it happens on a vanilla game as well and if it does, post in that thread and send your save to EA.

i started in a new save and the lag was significantly decreased, down to around 1 second or so. although it's not completely gone it's much more playable now. i might go through my mods again when i get the chance just to rule out any other problems. thanks!
